"Among the songs that were new to us, the most memorable may be “Colored Lights” (from The Rink). Erin Charles’ poignantly restrained delivery, supported by imaginative lighting, makes this relatively unknown gem one of the show’s highlights."

"She’s brought an endearing, Garland-like sweetness to the stage before, and as soon as she starts to sing “Over the Rainbow,” making it a lustrous expression of simultaneous yearning and hopefulness, there’s no doubting her rightness for the role."

"Erin Tamblyn’s Witch – when she sang “Stay With Me” I not only got chills, but I found myself wondering how humans had ever evolved to be able to make such magnificent music with their voices."

"Tamblyn's ferocious big finisher, "Last Midnight," melts you like a bucket of water tossed on a wicked witch."

"Erin Charles is hilarious in 'Class' and 'Ring Them Bells,' yet can tear your heart out in 'Isn't This Better?'"

"Leading the cast is Erin Charles, one of the best voices to emerge from the city’s musical theater scene in recent years. She plays a young woman fleeing a drunken father and a house made sad by her mother’s untimely death. Charles provides several moments of singing that are intense and moving, most notably the Gospel standard 'His Eye Is On The Sparrow,' and a beautiful solo that kicks off the ensemble number 'Calling All Angels.'"
